ANNOUNCEMENTS | BLAB | COURSEWORK
As ya'll already know, Mr Dan will be running in a marathon to help us raise funds ya'll. So please please please! WE NEED TO DO OUR PART TOOOOO YA'LL! Go around TPJC and get people to donate ok! YOU MUST collect the donations BEFORE 2ND DECEMBER because this is the date of Mr Dan's run ya'll! And try to ask them to donate more than just CENTS ok? We need DOLLARS ya'll! But of course lah... don't be so desperate and then look as if you're begging. YA'LL CAN DO IT! If Malaysia BOLEH, so can you!!!
And another thing, do approach the teachers too, ya'll! TRY TO GET THEM TO PLEDGE A LARGER AMOUNT OF MONEY! What's a PLEDGE, ya'll say?? Ok, it goes like this... Persuade the teachers to donate a sum of money, say $20 and then, instead of them giving the money on the day you approach them itself, let them donate over a period of time, like say $5 per week before Mr Dan's run ya'll. Try not to go beyond 2nd Dec ya'll. Ya'll very clever one lah... I noe. Your frens can also pledge ya'll! Try asking them to donate 50cents for everyday when he/she goes to school. So if before 2nd Dec there are 10 schooling days, you'll get $5 ya'll!
HAH! Skali they scared to come to school and see your face... Boohoo.
But then again, it must come from the heart rite, ya'll... ask them to pity us lah.
We'll collect back all the donations and cards on the day of ART CAMP which is on 5-7 December. More details on the camp will be coming soon ya'll.

Jon here, for once.
I shall do my best to impersonate Ryan Seacrest and tell you that YOU voted for it, to discount my participation and such, the essence of it being, don't blame me if you don't like the results. So there.
The majority of you wanted Art T-shirts, so we shall get them when someone finishes a design.
14 people can go for art camp at the end of years - it is HIGHLY recommended that you attend this camp. It's like mugger marathon, only the fun version. Sort of. By which I mean not at all.
Nah, actually it should be.
Speaking of the camp, the majority voted for Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the camp.
10 people can go for the New York Trip, 5 of whom may need funds.
Yep, thassall. Oh, and DO YOUR COURSEWORK EVERYBODY. DO IT SO THAT WE WON'T END UP LIKE OUR SENIORS AND BE SO BEHIND TIME.
You know who you are! Please cooperate... We can't get things done if the other half of the Art Clubbers don't do their part.
And do visit the art club blog regularly. It's supposed to be like a hub for you guys to share your thoughts and ideas and other interesting things.
So far there's nothing else to talk about, I just want to emphasize that you guys should take advantage of this blog. The survey results will be tabulated soon (so the rest of you please quickly send me) and we will discuss about the things said in the survey here at this blog later on.

BAD NEWS
The Teachers' Day celebration didn't turn out as expected as we couldn't get the cake.
Weilin also wanted to get cake for teachers' day on behalf of J2s so since we also wanted to get the cake, I collaborated with her. Weilin went to get the cake. Unfortunately, the cake shop closed early and we couldn't get it.
Sorry for the disappointment people... It was very last minute anyways.

GOOD NEWS
The good news is really good!
Mr Dan and Mrs Choo have told me that Ms Choo has agreed to subsidised our expenses for the New York Trip. Everyone now will pay $1250 instead of $2500 for the trip.
Therefore, for those of you who indicated in your survey that you can't make it due to financial constraints, I hope you will really consider to go. This is an opportunity not to be missed!
My wish is that all of us can go together and bond and learn through the experience. That'll be fantastic...

Yoz! Syaf here... As you all know, teachers' day celebrations is this Friday, and so... let's do something for Mrs Choo and Mr Dan!! I'm thinking of doing an Art Club teachers' day party after the concert, but then I know you peeps will be going to your secondary schools to meet your teachers, so it's not feasible. So instead, let's buy a big cake and other foodstuff for the art room teachers and for us. During our breaks, we can have a little picnic outside the artroom at the tables and benches there! It doesn't matter if we have different breaktimes, we can just go to the art room and celebrate whenever it's free for us to do so. What do you guys think? Post up your comments on: 1. Whether you agree on the idea2. If yes, how much are you willing to pay? Say, $3 for each person?3. Art Club blog is now open for all! The blogskin is not original, sorry. Argh.. no time to design. Hope you just bear with it for now. If you have time in your hands and you are able to make a new design for the blog, please please please do so!! Volunteer kay? =D
Let me explain how you can use the blog...
There are 3 blogs in total (see the three main links above?). This is the main blog where ONLY ANNOUNCEMENTS will be posted. We have new events coming up and we need ALL of you to cooperate by visiting the blog everyday (if possible) so that you'll be informed.
The second blog is for you to blog anything you want at all... crazy and stupid events in the art room, or significant events like the current Yellow Ribbon Project, or your own personal experience and events like Cheng Hung winning like... dunno how many awards already for caligraphy (kudos =D, however UNSATISFIED you still are).
The third blog is for coursework. Go post your coursework ideas there so that we all know what each other is doing. What's more - you can receive constructive comments/help for your coursework!
I strongly encourage you to use the 'Comments' function at the end of each posts should you have suggestions/opposing ideas/questions etc.
And yes... there's the "Explore" column on the left - still under construction. I intend to put a link to our very own photo album where we can share photos. What else can we put in huh? Hmmm... Suggestions please!
One more thing... please tell me if you have a blog... so that I can link it to your name (or if you know how to do it yourself, that'll be good)
So yep... I think basically that's it... Will be posting another announcement later on - about more official matters.
We are none other than the peeps who are seen going in and out of the Art room in TPJC. Overly crazy and creative with a burning passion for art (and music, and singing, and dancing, and rock climbing, and caligraphy, and photography, and writing... etc.)
